Working with the Law of Attraction
A powerful way of growing personally, escalating your successes and achieving the kind of lifestyle you always dreamed of is working with the Law of Attraction.
While many people learned about this fascinating law by watching the movie, or reading the associated book called "The Secret" by Ronda Byrne, few actually embraced the whole concept with enough enthusiasm to get it working in their lives.
This is a shame, because it is working all the time, whether you know it or not!

What is the Law of Attraction?
While nothing happens in life that is truly worthwhile without some measure of difficulty attached to it, this law is actually simpler to grasp than many believe. In its simplest form, it is very much like the way a magnet attracts like objects to itself (for instance, iron or some other metallic substances).
If you stop and just spend some time imagining yourself being just like a magnet and attracting things to you that you really want, you can activate this invisible force. The simple trick is that you must be in complete harmony with the thing that you want to get it to attract to you.
On a deeper physical level, that means you must be vibrating at the same frequency as the thing you desire. But how is that done, I hear you ask!
The Law of Vibration
Attraction is better thought of as a secondary law to that of Vibration. Here's how it works:
Quantum physicists will tell us that we (and everything in the known universe) are comprised only of energy. We are literally a collection of atoms all bound together to form molecules that in turn bind together to create the cells that make up our physical bodies.
Atoms vibrate (they are constantly in motion) as their electrons orbit their respective nuclei (the central hub of protons and neutrons). That motion creates a vibration that we measure as frequency.
Different atoms (of different composition) vibrate at different frequencies.
Therefore, as a simple example; a rock, made up of atoms of say, silicon vibrates at a different frequency to a lump or iron ore, which is made up of atoms of iron. There are more elements involved in that example, but for simplicity's sake, I'll just stick to those mentioned.
The important point to note here is that such inanimate objects as a rock or a piece of iron vibrate at a set frequency in their normal state. It doesn't change unless or until an external force is applied, such as heat for example. Heating iron will excite the atoms causing their vibration frequency to increase as it gets physically hotter.
On the other hand, we humans are made up of a collection of elements that all vibrate at their own frequencies, with the predominant element being water (the human body is made up of around 70% water). However, that's not all we are made up of.
We also have at our disposal a truly miraculous gift that can regulate our predominant physical vibration rate: our mind!
Whatever is going on in the mind (thought) is also formed of energy which vibrates and that frequency can change as the subject of our predominant thoughts change.
Emotion and Thought
At first glance, you'd be right in thinking that if you change your thoughts to be in harmony with the thing you desire, you will change your whole frequency to match it and therefore attract it to you. This was explained in "the Secret" very well.
There is more to this equation, however and this is the part most people miss out on when they try to activate the law in their lives through thought alone. Thought is only one part of that equation, with emotion being the other part.
It is our emotions that govern the predominant vibratory rate of our bodies!
While our thought can connect with the energy of the universe and set up an attractive force with the thing we desire, it needs the additional power of emotion to really get it working. The good news is that our emotions are governed by our thoughts.
That's right. Our minds control our bodies. The body can only do what the mind tells it: Remember that fact!
The mind also controls the emotional state of our bodies because it tells certain glands to secrete certain hormones which have a physical affect on how we feel. While we can't directly control that at a conscious level (we can't think: "Hey pineal gland, make me some serotonin"), we can influence it by directing our thoughts to a certain emotional state.
For instance, if we want to feel happy, we simply direct our thoughts to a happy occurrence we experienced in the past and almost like magic, we start to feel happy!
That happens because at a subconscious level, the conscious thoughts of happiness are influencing the natural process that would cause "happy" hormones to be released. It just happens at a level we are not consciously aware of.
Being In Tune
Matching our thoughts to our emotional state is really the secret sauce that causes the Law of attraction to get working in earnest. Matching feelings of being wealthy while thinking thoughts of attracting wealth will go together to attract wealth to us.
The only major factor to be acutely aware of is that this is not some kind of magical trick that anyone can perform with their thoughts.
Sitting in a chair wishing for money to drop into our laps is not going to make that happen. Dreaming of owning a new sports car is not going to get a Ferrari magically delivered onto our drive!
There is a process that must be followed before results can manifest.
The process of attraction rarely gets the exact item desired to turn up all by itself. What generally tends to happen is by being focused on a desired thing and matching the emotional state to that of being in possession of it, ideas will be created or circumstances will take place that, if followed or actioned, will in time produce the results desired.
Learning the Law of Attraction
There are a number of very good books and video courses available from which you can learn more about this law and how to become proficient at using it to enrich your own life (and by doing so, the lives of those around you). A good place to start is with the book, "The Secret" which does a great job of introducing the reader to the law and expanding on how it works and why.
There are several well known contributors to that book, who also appeared in the documentary style movie of the same name that have published books and created a variety of online tuition courses to help you delve more deeply into the process if that's what you want to do.
